  • Update and Exciting info from White Wolf
  • Interesting news! White Wolf has got some major changes coming for how they will deal with fans.

Here's the release from their site:
White Wolf Announces Changes at ICC

So they're doing away with their restrictions and crazy crackdowns on their fanbase? That's awesome! I've been avoiding joining the Cam again because of the insane bureaucracy that organization has, plus the degree of control WW was putting on them. The big thing I'm taking from this is that the Cam is allowed to go back to oWoD if they want to.

    This is awesome news!

The Cam should have been able to play any WW game they wanted to all along. Now maybe they can, and I'll consider renewing my membership. Hopefully it means they'll lay off OWbN, too. If these changes mean greater transparency and less interference in the Camarilla, and they go back to ignoring OWbN and not trying to put unreasonable restrictions on them, that would be great. The way they've treated the 'Cam alternative' organization has been shameful. It's about time they realized that an RPG, and a LARP in particular, has special considerations when it comes to how the content is used. You can't get all RIAA on roleplayers because playing the game the way they were intended to be played is essentially creating a deriviative work, if you think about it.

Anyway, new show coming up. I'll review Requiem and discuss this issue and more.
