  • Wow. Ok, looks like this episode never actually made it onto the server. No idea why, but it just wasn't listed. Anyway, this episode covers Pride and Prejudice and Zombies and much more.

  • Yes, it's coming... fun stuff
  • Hey all,

Show is recorded, I just need to get the final edits done and post it up. I went to the Shoreleave Sci-Fi convention this weekend, or it would be up already. Had a good time, though the panels didn't wow me and attendance was down. I did get some great deals on some great gaming stuff, however.

News on the writing front! There's a great Hint Fiction anthology contest starting in August. Hint Fiction is a story in 25 words or less that suggest a lot more than they actually say, like Hemingway's famous six word story: "For sale: Baby Shoes. Never worn." (that's amazing, isn't it?) The guidelines are here: Hint Fiction guidelines

    Check it out!

I think that I like this tiny fiction thing. I did well for White Wolf, and while competition for this contest will be far stiffer, I'm going to enter anyway. I know better writers than me are doing this contest, including Michael Stackpole, whose blog and podcast (and newsletter) The Secrets has taught me a huge amount about writing. But nothing ventured nothing gained, and it's more for the exercise anyway.

Writing these things helps with elegant word choice and packing as much meaning as possible into as few words as possible. Good practice.
